Term 4 Letter

Monday 10 October

Dear Parents/Caregivers of Room 11 Students,

Welcome back to another exciting term, I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break.

This letter is just to let you know a little about what will be happening in Term Four.

Our topic this term is Careers Education. Students will increase their awareness of their strengths and interest, and of how they relate to others. They will see themselves positively, demonstrating a hopeful picture of themselves in the future. They become aware of the link between education and work and the role of lifelong learning, understanding that people’s skills are built up over time because of learning and experience.

Term 4 will see Athletics training and competition.
Week 1 will be Athletics training every afternoon.
Friday of Week 2 will see the Christ The King School Athletics Day.
Week 4 will be Zones Athletics for those who make it through.

Homework will start today and will be the same as last Term with 10 spelling words, completing an electronic reading log and finishing work.
Please check that your child still has all stationery needed in Room 11 including a red pen, ruler, pencils, eraser, compass and protractor, etc.

All dates and times of events and activities this term will follow in the School Newsletter including more information about Mountain Biking and Swimsafe.

I hope this answers some of your questions. If you have any other queries please feel free to contact me at school for an appointment or e-mail at ryan.mcinnes@christtheking.school.nz

Shakespeare Rocks Production

After seven weeks of learning songs, lines, dance moves, stage transitions, costumes, makeup and practices the production was upon us.
Both the Matinee and Night performances were a total success with all children stepping up for success and presenting a highly polished show with brilliant singing, dancing, energy and wonderful acting.
Thank you all parents and others who helped to make this such as positive experience.
